What's the beef? Nice Mr Flint a friend of Satan? That's what one north London vicar reckoned, when he linked Keef's "horned tufts" to an unhealthy interest in Ouija boards and the like. Flinty shaved his devil's haircut for the Reading festival, but only ended up looking like Uncle Fester Winner? Keef aka The Twisted Firestarter

picture Music
'I DON'T listen to house music 24/7. I like everything from Massive Attack to Eagle Eye Cherry. I'd listen to Air on a chill-out vibe. What they do is very, very cool. It's easy listening, really laidback. It's after-club music. Their sound isn't particularly French, what is French is their attitude kind of cheeky and poking fun at itself.

"Did you ever see that cartoon, Heavy Metal The Movie? Parts of it are proper heavy rock and parts are some real psychedelic shit. And that's what Air remind me of trippy Beatles cartoons, trippy 70s psychedelia, stuff like that. Their live show is cool, too. It's like Kraftwerk they don't do much on stage but they have an amazing show, there's theatre involved. And then you look at the total opposite, the Prodigy, who jump around like madmen that show's got energy! People wanna go to see a show, and if you can give them something extra, that's cool. Especially if you look like you landed from outer space!

"A lot of my ideas are very science fiction, too. That's where my head's at. "The concept Air took for 'Moon Safari' was cool, the whole moon-boot thing. And I love vocoders I'm going to use them on my album. "'Sexy Boy' is good, but my favourite is 'You Make It Easy'. It's real trippy and slow; the singer sounds like Tracey Thorne, that kind of vibe. 'Kelly Watch The Stars' is cheesy but funny at the same time, tongue-in-cheek. "Really, I think 'Moon Safari' sounds like an introduction to Air. They didn't do anything really groundbreaking on it, but they presented things from the past in an interesting light.
"Now Air need to develop it to the next level, maybe get a little bit more theatrical. But it's a good start."
