"Hello? Is that Norman?"
Fatboy's recent remix requests

Meat Loaf
Unbelievably, the heavy metal lard-arse who'd do anything for love (but he wouldn't do that) asked Norm to co-write and produce the follow-up to 'Bat Out Of Hell II'. Norman: "That's the weirdest. Not remixing, but writing songs. What would it sound like? Cack out of hell, probably..."
Answer: NO

Paula Abdul
Diminutive US choreographer turned pop queen wanted Norman to produce her. Norman: "I thought that was rather nice, but..."
Answer: NO

Pet Shop Boys
Another production request, this time from the heavily ironic pop duo. Norman: "I've got a lot of time for them, but it's not really my kind of music."
Answer: NO

Aerosmith
More American metallers. Steve Tyler and his rehab-friendly chums asked for a remix of recent single 'Pink'. Norman: "I quite wanted to do this, because I thought he was singing 'pig': 'PIG! When you turn out the light..."
Answer: NO

The Beautiful South
Norman's school friend and fellow former Housemartin Paul Heaton asked for Norman's assistance on the mega selling popsters' forthcoming album. Norman: "I got my role reduced from co-producer to executive producer to rhythm section consultant. Basically, I sat in the studio for a couple of days, writing basslines, making suggestions, lending another ear. Their new stuff's got a bit of a groove to it."
Answer: YES

Leo Sayer
Afro-haired 70s nuisance, recently rehabilitated by The Sun, of all people. Wanted Norman to produce him.
Norman: "Bless him."
Answer: NO

Beastie Boys
Recipients of Norman's first post-'Brimful Of Asha' remix on forthcoming single 'Body Rocking'.
Answer: YES

Madonna
Tried and failed to reach Norman with a string of pleas to remix recent single 'Ray Of Light'. Sasha did it instead. Norman: "I didn't really think 'Ray Of Light' was me. I'll leave that one to Sasha. I'd have butchered it."
Answer: NO

Delakota
Indie-dance combo, led by a bloke who used to be in punk band The Senseless Things. Norman has remixed their single 'C'mon Cincinatti'.
Norman: "I like doing tracks where you hear it and think, 'That's brilliant. If only you'd done that to it...'"
Answer: YES

Young MC/CLS
Remix requests for two of Norman's favourite club classics, Young MC's hip hoppy 'Know How' and Todd Terry's early 90s house anthem, 'Can You Feel It' by CLS.
Norman: "What's the point? What could I do to them? If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
Answer: NO
