The search is case-insensitive (Capitals and lower-case letters may be used interchangeably).
Search fields include: URL, Title and Description.
Symbols:
"^" placed BEFORE a key word indicates the beginning of the word
(ex: "^man" will find "MANifold," but NOT "DiscoMANia.")
"$" placed AFTER a key word indicates the end of the word
(ex: "records$" will find "R & S RECORDS," but NOT "Now! RECORDStore.")
" " (Space) If you are searching for a phrase or multiple words separated
by spaces and nothing is found containing all of the words, the search

Sorting:
At the top of each page there is a bar with "Name," "URL"
and "Vote." By clicking on these buttons, you can sort
your results by the corresponding category. The new sort
will be displayed in a lighter gray area and will apply to
all pages. Your results will be sorted by vote unless you
select another preference.
|
| 2.4. |
Voting:
You may vote for as many sites as you wish, but you may
only vote for a site once. You can vote positively if
you like the site, or negatively if you don't.
Please be fair and vote without prejudice, even for sites
outside of your musical preferences.
Some suggestions to base your vote on:
Content (is it up-to-date, manifold and complete?)
Graphics (are they engaging, but not too big?)
Usefulness (does it provide information, sounds, searches,
or let you order products, etc...?)
Important: base your evaluation on ONLINE factors. For
example: don't give a positive rating to a weak site just
because it's run by a phat label. And please give private
and commercial entrants the same chance!

Q & A:
Question: Why doesn't the pulldown menu work when I pick the first choice
on the list (ex: "Artist" under Category or "Argentina" under Country).
Answer: This happens because of a JavaScript error in a few browsers. If
nothing happens when you pick the first choice under a category, click the
button next to the pulldown menu.
Question: My browser doesn't have JavaScript. What should I be aware of
when using the Bookmarks?
Answer: You shouldn't have any problems. The only function you can't use
is the info-window. Also, with the pulldown menues, you will have to
click on after making your choice to start the query.
