Biographie-En	Jonny Phelps a.k.a. Jonene began his expansive career in the electronic music industry in Los Angeles California, performing live with the techno/house band Deep Squared from the early portion of 1991 to 1994. Influenced by legendary Chicago house DJ Mark Farina (now a San Francisco resident), Jonene relocated to San Francisco in 1994, where he combined edgy beats with funky grooves creating his signature chunky Chicago/San Francisco sound. Fine-tuning is style over the years, Jonene has become one of the Bay Area's most sought after DJs. In early 1995, he was quickly noticed and picked up by San Francisco's legendary Stompy, a party that defined San Francisco's house scene. Jonene also holds residencies at ESDJCO's monthly invitational (www.ESDJCO.com), Martel & Nabiel Productions' world-renowned party, Release, on Saturday nights at 1015 Folsom, De Luxe, a monthly Saturday night party at Club 550 Barnevald, Bug N' Out's Wednesday weekly Audible Colors, eleven-year running Thursday night party Kit Kat at The End-Up, monthly Los Angeles party Freedom, Wednesday monthly party 3* in Chicago, and Seattle's weekly party Balance. Travelling world wide, Jonene has shared the decks with legendary greats such as Little Louie Vega, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Doc Martin, DJ Sneak, Marques Wyatt, Mark Grant, Kevin Yost, Roy Davis Jr., Johnny Fiasco, Luke Solomon, and many more. Residencies: Stompy Stomp, San Francisco - Resident DJ (1995-1997) One of San Francisco's legendary deep house, 21 and over monthly parties, featuring top DJs from around the globe, including Ralph Lawson, Derrick Carter, Luke Solomon and Mark Farina. Stompy Dig-In, San Francisco - Resident DJ (1997-2001) Kicked off on New Years Day as a "one-off," Stompy Dig-In turned into one of San Francisco's unsurpassed Sunday day parties that the city has ever experienced. Set in a club with a retractable roof and a mezzanine that held up to 500 people, these 12-hour parties rocked until the early morning with DJs such as Derrick Carter, Romanthony, Johny Fiasco, Mark Grant, and Marques Wyatt. Stompy Hi-Fi, San Francisco - Resident DJ (1999-2000) The final chapter in the Stompy trilogy. The newest Stompy returned to Saturday nights set in a brand new club on the outer limits of the San Francisco, featuring three resident DJs and one out-of-town guest, including Miles Maeda, Alton Miller, Fred Everything, and Luke Solomon. Release, San Francisco - Rotating Resident DJ (1998-present) World-renowned Saturday night party Release located at 1015 Folsom fills to capacity every weekend and boasts such DJ line-ups as King Britt, Basement Jaxx, Deep Dish, and Daft Punk. Jonene is a rotating resident with West Coast DJs Doc Martin, Julius Papp, Marques Wyatt, Ellen Ferrarto, and Naked Music recording artist Miguel Migs. ESDJCO1s Invitationals, San Francisco - Resident DJ (1997-present) By sponsoring DJs with clothing and DJ gear since 1997, ESDJCO has been able to bring in such DJ greats as Carl Cox, DJ Dan, Invisible Scratch Pickles, A-Track, Mark Grant, Mark Farina, Diesel Boy, DJ Sneak, and Wicked1s Garth and Jeno.
